At home, we have a display on our rack which shows the monitoring data on the bottom half of the screen, the upper half is used by a public transport display.

If everything is fine, there's a lot of wasted space, which could be used for the public transport information. icinga2beamer could display a setup below all the services, so there would only be a single status line on top of the screen showing the monitoring client is running, but the remainder of the screen could be used to show departures.
